Desk Studies and Walkover Surveys

Essential Preliminary Risk Assessments

A thorough understanding of a site's history and environmental context is critical before proceeding with construction. Our desk study process involves gathering and analysing historical maps, geological records, environmental reports, and regulatory data, in compliance with BS10175:2001 and CLR11 guidelines.

The Desk Study Process:

Following the desk study, our experienced geotechnical engineers conduct walkover surveys, visually inspecting the site to pinpoint hazards such as contamination or unstable ground conditions. This preliminary risk assessment ensures efficient and targeted geotechnical investigations.
